    Call for proposal within the framework of the “Europe for Citizens” programme 2014-2020. The main objectives of the programme are:

    • raise awareness of remembrance, common history and values and the Union’s aim -that is to promote peace, its values and the well-being of its peoples by stimulating debate, reflection and development of networks;
    • encourage democratic and civic participation of citizens at Union level, by developing citizens’ understanding of the Union policy making-process and promoting opportunities for societal and intercultural engagement and volunteering at Union level.

    The main goal of the Europe for Citizen programme is making the europeans closer to the EU, increasing their participation in current affairs and ensuring a broader understanding of the history of the European Union.

    Budget

    The total budget earmarked for this call for proposals is estimated at EUR 17,2 million:

    • European Remembrance projects: EUR 4.0 million
    • Town Twinning: EUR 4.8 million
    • Networks of Towns: EUR 4.7 million
    • Civil Society Projects: EUR 3.7 million

    Deadlines

    All deadlines for submission of applications specified below end at 12.00 (noon), Brussels time.

    • European Remembrance projects: 1st February 2019
    • Town Twinning: 1st February 2019 and 1st September 2019
    • Networks of Towns: 1st March 2019 and 1st September 2019
    • Civil Society Projects: 1st September 2019
