Introduction
Are you a youth worker and interested in exploring theatre as a form of non-formal education and personal growth during your projects?
Discover the training course “It’s my nature!” that will take place in Woodstown, Ireland from 24 to 29 September.
The project
The main objective of this project is to enhance the self-awareness and self-confidence of Youth workers.
To achieve this, the participants will create a learning toolkit during the course, which they can later utilise during their own projects.
The training course will be based on non-formal and informal education with a self-directed learning approach.
The trainers will use artistic tools and performances, in particular the very effective method of “Participatory and Immersive Theatre”, to stimulate growing self-confidence and resilience.

The aim of the training course
The main objectives of the training course are:
- To support youth workers in their personal growth
- To experience concepts such as resilience, confidence, vulnerability, empathy and creativity
- To provide youth workers with tools to create deep connections with young people
- To share tools and methods from across Europe, and to inspire the participants to implement similar learning processes after the Training Course for their own target groups
- To reflect on their own learning process by using the Key Competences from the Youth Pass, and giving the opportunity for capacity building in the context of the Erasmus+ Program.
Requirements
This Training Course is targeted at people who are experienced at working with young people and in the field of non-formal education.
The organisation also requires to:
- Be fully committed to the process
- Be on time for all of the deadlines, sessions and appointments
- Step out of their comfort zones
