Have you been thinking about launching an Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps project? Or have you already started writing it? Wherever you are in the process, you are probably wondering how to make the most out of it, and how to make it remarkable.
S.A.L.T.O. has published an article in the European Youth Portal that gives some tips and project examples.
How To Make Your Erasmus Project Stand Out
Participation
When it comes to youth projects, it is important that you take into consideration the participation. For example, you can think about bringing young people together and involving organisations from different countries. It is important to consider that your project should find ways for everyone to learn and make a valuable contribution. Even better, try to engage participants in the decision-making process.
If you don’t know where to start from, consult the Participation Resource Pool. You can also find practical tips, worksheets and self-evaluation questions about projects and participation on the Participation Toolkit.
Policy Dimension
Keep in mind that your project should address the EU Youth Goals. For example, what about civic participation? Your project can make a real difference, if it encourages young people’s participation in Europe’s democratic life – be it at local, regional, national or European level. Plan your activities in such a way that they unite the participants behind the same vision and goal to create inspiring experiences.
EU Priorities
Your Erasmus project should be linked to the EU priorities too:
- Inclusion and Diversity,
- Digital Transformation,
- Participation in Democratic Life, and
- Environment and Fight Against Climate Change.
The article provides also useful examples of successful Erasmus projects – the ones that won the SALTO Awards last year.
