Introduction
Are you an educator or do you work with young people in the mobility projects of the Erasmus+ programme?
Discover the “COMPETENCES MANUAL”, written by “Mobility+“, in which you can find useful tips and guidance on how to enhance the 8 useful key skills to find employment during international mobility projects!
The eight competences
In this online manual you will find all the indications to develop and promote the “8 key competences” identified by the European Union:
- Literacy competence
- Multilingual competence
- Personal, social, and learning to learn competence
- Citizenship competence
- Cultural awareness and expression competence
- Entrepreneurship competence
- Mathematical competence and competence in science, technology, and engineering
- Digital competence
These skills are essential to enable young people to find employment.
Studies have shown that young people who take part in international mobility experiences or who have studied for a period in a foreign country find work more easily, because, thanks to these experiences, they adapt more quickly to new situations and are better problem solvers.
The manual
The handbook will introduce the development of these key competences into youth mobility projects and will provide educators and youth workers with useful tools.
For each of the 8 competences the following information will be provided:
- The official EU definition.
- A summary of the definition.
- The use of the competence within the workplace.
- Concrete examples at 4 levels.
- How to validate the competences by looking at activities.
- Mini test about the competences.
- Keywords to express each competence.
- Testimonies of mobility participants and adult education workers where the competences were acquired.
Where to get it
The manual is available online for free and can be downloaded in PDF format from the official website.
