On 15 February 2019 the European Commission released some amendments of the Erasmus+ Annual Work Programme for the year 2019. First, relevant news: the total budget has increased to EUR 3,270,450,701 (over 250 million more than the amount adopted at the outset)
The review came after the adoption of the 2019 budget and the revised amount of internal and external assigned revenues. It will make new actions
possible, such as:
- public diplomacy initiatives in the framework of Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 projects (among the external actions), that fall under the EU Global Strategy;
- the #BeActive award, in the framework of the Sport Activities, after the Tartu Call for an Healty Lifestyle launched in 2017;
- the network of national Erasmus+ Offices and Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs), that will be implemented through grants awarded by exception to Calls for Proposal;
- the possibility to use funding instruments for external actions under heading 4 relating to the “international Student and Alumni Network Erasmus+“.
