Introduction
Are you a young professional and want to get in touch with other young people from all over Europe?
Discover how to join as a visitor the EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023, the European Championship of Young Professionals!
The competition will take place in Gdańsk, Poland from 5 to 9 September:
- The Opening Ceremony will be held on 5 September at Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk.
- The Competition will run for three days, from 6 to 8 September at AMBEREXPO Gdańsk).
- The Closing Ceremony will be held on 9 September at Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk.
The Competition
EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in Europe.
The aim of the competition is to bring together hundreds of young professionals from countries across Europe to compete for the chance to become the Best in Europe in their chosen skill.
Visitors will be able to watch the competitors in action and have the opportunity to try hands-on job-related skills at the many ‘Try-a-Skill’ demonstrations.
The Skills
The competition will welcome over 600 young professionals under the age of 25 from all over Europe to participate in 43 official skill competitions.
There are six industry sectors:
- Transportation and Logistics
- Service Industry
- Host Presentation Skills
- Construction and Building Technology
- Creative Arts and Fashion
- Information and Communication Technology
- Manufacturing and Engineering Technology
The participants in the competition will represent the best of their peers nationally and are selected after taking part in national competitions held in WorldSkills Europe Member countries.
At EuroSkills, competitors must demonstrate technical abilities and they have to complete series of projects within strict time frames over the course of three days.
How to participate
Even though it is no longer possible to take part in the competition itself, you can join as a visitor.
