]]>The resources will be distributed as follows: 80 million for the Horizon 2020 programme, in order to foster the climate research and contributing towards tackling the climate issue that threatens the whole world. As the press release says, this amount is set to comply with the ambitious target of devoting 35% of Horizon 2020’s budget to climate-related research.
The remaining 20 million will be allocated to the Erasmus+ Programme, mainly for the European Universities. This pilot programme foresees the creation of a network of 12 universities whitin which the students can move, having their studies recognized and adding an European valude to their degrees. This falls under the European Education Area view to be reached by 2025.
The proposal is still to be discussed by the EU parliament and Council.
