Introduction

Are you a Civil Society Organisation (CSO) and do you operate in Europe in the field of youth work?

We invite you to complete the questionnaire for the European youth strategy 2019-2027.

What is the EU Youth Strategy?

The EU Youth Strategy focuses on three core areas of action:

  • Engage, encourage and promote inclusive democratic participation of all young people in society and democratic processes
  • Connect and actively engage young people and youth organisations in the design, implementation and evaluation of relevant EU funding programmes
  • Empower young people and develop easily accessible youth contact points that deliver a wide range of services and/or provide youth information.

These goals identify areas that affect young people’s lives and point out challenges. The EU Youth Strategy should contribute to realising this vision of young people.

The survey

The European Parliament is evaluating the European Youth Strategy 2019-2027. The opinion of all organisations involved in youth work is crucial for improving future strategies.

The survey is online and consists of general questions, including the type of organisation to which you belong, the area of work in which you work and if you are aware of the tools made available through the EU Youth strategy.

The organisations don’t need to register to complete the survey and they can complete it anonymously.

Conclusion

If you have the requirements, we strongly recommend that you complete the questionnaire.

It is a useful tool to give your opinion on the tools made available by the European Union regarding youth work and to improve them in the future.

Organisations can complete the questionnaire on the official website by the 4 of August.

You can find more information about this project in the European Youth Portal.

Introduction

The European Commission is committed to continuously improving its programs and ensuring the best experience for participants.

As part of this commitment, a User Satisfaction Survey has been launched for the Erasmus+, Creative Europe, and European Solidarity Corps programs.

In this article, we will explore the purpose of the survey, its importance, the areas it covers, how to participate, the impact of feedback, and the significance of individuals’ contributions in shaping the future of these initiatives.

Understanding the User Satisfaction Survey

The User Satisfaction Survey is a valuable tool designed to gather feedback and insights from individuals who have participated in or have been involved with the Erasmus+, Creative Europe, and European Solidarity Corps programs.

By collecting diverse perspectives, the survey aims to assess participants’ satisfaction levels, identify areas for improvement, and gather suggestions for enhancing the overall experience.

The Importance of Your Feedback

By participating in the User Satisfaction Survey, individuals have the opportunity to voice their opinions, share their experiences, and provide constructive feedback. The input received through the survey plays a crucial role in shaping the future direction and effectiveness of the programs. It helps in identifying strengths, addressing challenges, and implementing improvements that can enhance the impact and quality of these initiatives, ensuring they remain relevant and responsive to participants’ needs.

What the Survey Covers

The survey covers various aspects related to the Erasmus+, Creative Europe, and European Solidarity Corps programs. It may include questions about the application process, project implementation, support received, networking opportunities, learning outcomes, and overall satisfaction.

Participants are encouraged to provide honest and detailed responses to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their experiences. By addressing specific areas of interest, the survey aims to capture a holistic view of participants’ engagement.

How to Participate

To participate in the User Satisfaction Survey, individuals can visit the designated survey link provided in the article.

The survey is typically available for a specific period, so it is important to complete it within the given timeframe. Participants are encouraged to provide their feedback thoughtfully and thoroughly, as their insights will contribute to shaping the future of these programs. By actively engaging in the survey, participants become agents of change and advocates for program improvement.

The Impact of Your Feedback

The feedback gathered through the User Satisfaction Survey is carefully analysed and used to identify areas of improvement. It helps program administrators and policymakers understand the needs and expectations of participants, enabling them to enhance program structures, resources, and support mechanisms.

By actively participating in the survey, individuals play a vital role in influencing positive changes and ensuring that future participants have an even better experience. Each contribution helps shape the programs’ future, making them more inclusive, impactful, and responsive to the needs of participants.

Conclusion

The User Satisfaction Survey for the Erasmus+, Creative Europe, and European Solidarity Corps programs provides an invaluable opportunity for participants to share their experiences and contribute to the continuous improvement of these initiatives.

By providing honest and detailed feedback through the survey, individuals can help shape the future direction of these programs and ensure that they remain impactful and supportive for future participants.

Your feedback matters, and together we can build a more vibrant and effective European community of education, creativity, and solidarity!

Visit the survey and share your feedback!

Trainers are a core element when it comes to European youth work, especially in the field of non-formal learning. Their professional expertise, together with their ability to perform within an educational framework, affect the quality of training activities in a crucial way.

The ETS Competence Model

S.A.L.T.O. Youth has developed a competence model targeting trainers, youth workers and youth leaders working on an international level.

It defines seven competence areas:

  • Understanding and facilitating individual and group learning processes;
  • Learning to learn;
  • Designing educational programmes;
  • Cooperating successfully in teams;
  • Communicating meaningfully with others;
  • Intercultural competence;
  • Being civically engaged.

There are several tools free for download to serve the scope. For example, a booklet to start the training. This publication gathers information about the Competence Model such as its approach, its structure, the values behind, the educational principles, and the glossary of terms.

Training of Trainers Curriculum

A Training of Trainers Curriculum has been designed for trainers working in the youth field. It aims to offer a programme that outlines essential contents and values to prepare competent trainers in the youth field. It comes from the ETS Competence Model for Trainers above.

This instrument wants to support training providers across Europe with guidelines on defining specific goals, creating modular contents, choosing appropriate strategies and resources to develop trainers’ competences according to their context. National Agencies, organisations, and trainers active in the youth field will be able to use the Curriculum as guidance for trainers competence development and define longer-term training trainers strategies.

The Survey

To develop this Curriculum and take into account as much as possible the needs and wishes of those with involvement in this project, there is a survey to fill in.

Your contribution will help to build and develop a Curriculum based on the needs of youth trainers. Answering the questions will take about 20 minutes. The deadline is June 15th.

After the success of “MyWord2015” survey, that the United Nations launched a few years ago, UNESCO proposes a new survey. It is about the “Futures of Education: Learning to Become“. The starting idea comes from an independent International Commission. It is about rethinking education and shaping the future in a world of increasing complexity, uncertainty, and precariousness.

The initiative is the outcome of the work inside UNESCO. It comes under the leadership of the President of Ethiopia, Her Excellency President Sahle-Work Zewde.

“Futures of Education: Learning to Become” is a UNESCO’s new flagship initiative in the field of education. The focus is on reimagining together how knowledge and learning can shape the future of humanity and the planet.

The survey takes only one minute to complete. It asks respondents to share their views on the top 3 challenges that lie ahead. It also asks what the top 3 priorities of education should be in order to address these challenges. The answers and the participation of organisations is relevant and meaningful. UNESCO will use them to prepare the next global report on the futures of education.

The aim of the survey is to make sure that young people’s ideas and opinions can be heard to make a difference.  Furthermore it is worth mentioning that the survey is available in multiple languages. Indeed the aim is to meet the needs of everyone and guarantee the broader participation possible.

To become part of this global initiative, individuals and organisations can either:

SALTO has recently launched a survey to indagate the training needs of Youth Exchanges. The aim is to help the network of National Agencies to find out more about the needs of the youth field. Indeed the focus of the survey is on trainings, planning and implementing Youth Exchanges under Erasmus+.

Indeed, every year National Agencies host several training courses on Youth Exchanges, focusing on:

– quality criteria for a successful Youth Exchange
– management competences to increase the quality of future Youth Exchanges
– understanding the whole logic of the life cycle of a youth exchange project
– participation and learning opportunities of the young people
– how to pay extra attention to the equal partnership and encourage partners to plan, prepare, implement and report the project together.

Youth Exchanges
Youth Exchanges are a great opportunity for youngsters as they allow groups of people from different countries to meet, live together and work on shared projects for short periods. Furthermore the activities carried out are different and meaningful, such as:

  • workshops,
  • exercises,
  • debates,
  • role-plays,
  • outdoor activities.

Youth exchanges last between 5 and 21 days (excluding traveling time). They are open to people between the ages of 13 and 30. In addition it is also possible to apply as group leader if at least 18 years old. Youth organisations and informal groups of young people are the players that manage Youth Exchanges. Find more information about Youth Exchanges here.

Why a Survey
Due to COVID-19, National Agencies may only implement online training courses now and for an uncertain period of time. Therefore, National Agencies would like to know your needs and opinions.

The survey takes only 5-10 minutes of your time and the contribution of everyone is a great plus. Go straight to the survey here.

“Time For Tea” is a cross-sectoral strategic partnership of Erasmus+ (KA2). The project involves 4 European organisations from Poland, the UK, Italy and Spain. It promotes global learning, creative thinking and social action by young people. The idea is showing how a simple cup of tea can generate social, technical and educational innovation.

It is simple, fun and accessible to people of any age, background or ability, anywhere in the world. The project involves a simple step-by-step series of activities based on non-formal education, which can be led by teachers, youth workers or young people themselves to advocate for issues that matter.

In fact, within the project the organisations collaborate to create a training and resource base composed of 6 intellectual outputs to support this global outreach, inspiring participation and empowering a generation of young people through dialogue with policy makers at all levels.

For example, one of these intellectual outputs is a resource pack for teachers and youth workers with methodologies on advocacy when working with young people.

To create this guide, the partners are now collecting ideas, experiences and opinions of youth workers, teachers and educators through an online survey.

Please, fill up this questionnaire if you want to give your contribution!

The pandemic of the Coronavirus changed the daily life of most youth organisations and initiatives. Many activities had to be changed, postponed, or canceled. Many new, unusual measures are being used and experimented in order to keep the youth activities ongoing.

This is why the Joint Council on Youth (CMJ) launched a survey to better understand the realities with which the youth organizations have to deal with during this time.

The Joint Council on Youth is interested in hearing from people working or volunteering in youth organisations, initiatives, and networks across Europe on the effects of the current COVID-19 across youth work and youth activities.

Your answers will help to better understand the situation across the Council of Europe’s member states in order to provide appropriate support to youth organisations and constructive guidance to government bodies working on youth-related issues, on behalf of the Youth Department.

All information is confidential and will not be published other than in an aggregated and anonymised form.

Contribute and help us understand what you are going through by filling the QUESTIONNAIRE.

The questionnaires can be submitted until the 1st of August 11:59 CET.

The EACEA is looking for youth organisations, NGO or networks operating in Europe. The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency has launched a survey to assess “how the European landscape of youth representation is changing”.

The survey wants to make clear the role of youth organisations and how they affect the level of participation rate among young people. The final purpose is to learn where to intervene, in order to enhance the democratic life in EU.

More in details

The survey is carried out by Ecorys and aims at assessing how young people are involved in the decision-making process at European, national and local level, to ” better understand the value and contribution of EU funding”. More specifically, it wants to:

  • map EU youth NGOs and networks
  • assess the contribution and impact of EU funding
  • identify the new trends in youth participation; and,
  • make future funding recommendations.

It is part of the lager European Youth Strategy 2019-2027, under the sector “engage“.

survey youth participation

The survey is open to all youth NGOs and networks operating within Europe, and will run until 16th August. Click on this link to take part (it takes no more than 15-20 minutes).
